Bottleneck

Waited 1.5 hours for a table at Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood. Worth it? mmmmaybe. Seven of us for dinner and I loved mine (smoked pork tenderloin, whipped sweet potatoes, spiced apples). From the rest of the group there was a decided, "meh."

Don't let this dissuade you. Just go with fewer friends.

No way would I wait over an hour for any place.

I'm with you there, Steve...one of the ways STL has spoiled me. What do they think this is -- New York??

I've decided after a lot of visits that I like the Bottleworks in theory a bit more than in practice. Love the space, love the ethos, love the beer, and love the yummy goat cheese dip...but don't just have to have anything else on the menu. Unlike the Tap Room, where there are, in fact, things I crave.

Who has a better Bison burger in St. Louis than Bottleworks?
