Hi-O! What Gives with KYO?

Not yet open and already rebranding: we alerted readers here not too long ago to the long-anticipated rebirth of the former Tangerine/Hungry Buddha/Infierno space, transforming into a swank joint called Koi. Or, as we must now report, more accurately to be known as "KYO," with a cutesy long-O bar.

Either website gets you the same basic info, but new materials circulating out there are now all about KYO.

It should be noted that in the meantime, Blake Brokaw has just been adding a bunch of new menu items to the Atomic Cowboy.

That site tells me: "You are not remotely hip enough to come into this bar."

I do dig the "Excorcist"-like techno.

If you have not been to KYO (Kee Oh) you are missing a good time.

Come on in. I dare you. ;)

As KYO's only male bartender, I'll be mixing luscious libations Thursday - Sunday. So come liberate your soul and connect with your inner-hip-self. As KYO represents the sutra of life itself, (or more literally the "voice or sounds" of life. perhaps you may find your true-self and meaning of your life. If not you can at least come meet me. :)

BTW, with the exception of the location (Tangerine/Hungry Buddha/Infierno) Blake has no connection w/ KYO.

Come on in and tell 'em Eic sent you.

See you soon

Nice place -

Definitaly has the potential to wake washington back up. Looking forward to the 3am lic. - BTW - I did go in and eric is right - he makes a bad ass drink - and trust me on this - the eye candy with the other bartenders makes it worth stopping by! Not a dance destination (at least not yet) it is a nice place to start the evening off and makes a good meeting up place.

Hip or not hip, if you like really good food this is a place you need to try. And their signature drinks are a must.
